Terms of Use & End-User Licence Agreement

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the Player and tutorial files for your own lawful use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the software, or reverse-engineer it except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.

2. What the software does — assumption of risk

The Player is automation software. To guide you, it observes on-screen elements through Windows UI Automation, monitors keyboard and mouse input, displays an on-screen pointer and instructions, and may move or position the pointer. It can interact with other applications on your computer.

You are responsible for supervising it, for the state of your computer and data, and for any actions taken while it runs. Back up your important data before use. You use the Service entirely at your own risk.

3. No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, secure, or that tutorials will correctly identify on-screen elements or produce any particular result.

4. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CORNER MILESTONE LTD, ITS OWNERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $0, BECAUSE THE PLAYER IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

5. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Corner Milestone Ltd and its owners from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

6. Third-party applications & trademarks

PathTutorial is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, or any other company whose products a tutorial may reference. All product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the software a tutorial helps you use.

7. Privacy

The Player runs locally on your computer. When you use the on-site tutorial builder, the description you provide is sent to our third-party AI provider to generate a tutorial. We store your account details and a record of your acceptance of these Terms (including date, time, IP address, and browser user-agent). See any separate Privacy Notice for more.

8. Acceptable use

You will not use the Service unlawfully, to infringe others' rights, to create misleading or harmful tutorials, or in a way that disrupts or attempts to gain unauthorised access to the Service or others' systems.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms. On termination, your licence ends and you must stop using the Player.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be published here with a new version and effective date, and you may be asked to accept again before downloading.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
